My Skincare Routine! (Make-up-less pictures! Beware! lol)

*song Park Bom | You and I

I was planning to review my skincare line up after two weeks but here it is 3 weeks later! Since I’ve received my B-Liv and Laneige purchases, I’ve been using the products every day and night. It is no joke that these additions have been doing wonders. Since using them, I have stopped having break outs. My skin use to be oily in the cheeks and forehead and dry around the mouth and nose (lol I know weird… haha), but it has evened out immensely. My skin is soft to the touch and so smooth! Eeee =D ! So here is the line-up…

The Line-up

B-Liv Bye Dots No Spots Cleanser
When: Morning and night, every day
What I Like: A tiny drop is enough to lather my entire face. It has a very light fruity green grape smell to it. After washing it off, there is no film, and my skin feels refreshed, soft and just CLEAN.

Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peeling Gel
When: Every weekend, once in the morning
What I Like: The strawberry yogurt scent! After one minute of rubbing then rinse, my skin is uber soft. Bub-bye dead dry skin.

B-Liv Off With Those Heads
When: Morning and night, everyday
What I Like: It works, no lie.

In addition to those star products. I’ve also been using the following products (which I’ve been using for a while)…

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPF (Every Morning)
Clean and Clear Foaming Make-up Cleanser (Every night)
Costco Brand Facial Cleansing Wipes (I use this only for heavier make-up removal)
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (Every night, great for dry areas)
Vaseline (For eye make-up removal, nothing does a better job)

So right when I woke up this morning, I took some “After” pictures. As well as some fun pictures of my usual morning routine. (Tip: If you are viewing my post on my website instead of through an RSS feed, you can just click on the first photo, then use your arrow keys  <- and -> to skip to the next photos) No make-up photos! OMGOSH lol.

Step 1: Bye Dots No Spots CleanserStep 1: Lather LatherStep 2: Strawberry Peeling GelStep 2: Rub RubStep 3: Off with Those Heads GelStep 3: Smooth over T-Zone and Cheeks Step 4: Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream with SPFAll Done!!

An addition to this routine, I’ve also been doing the following:

1. Putting my hair back when I sleep
2. Washing my pillow case often
3. Drinking LOTS of green tea with my new tea mug
4. Drinking a lot more water than I use to drink
5. Avoid touching my face unless I’ve washed my hands
6. Switching back to mineral foundation
7. Sleeping A LOT (lol)
8. Using a facial mask once a week

The results? Here the before and after pictures. The nose area usually shows it the best… haha I hope you’re prepared for scary pictures. Notice in the before picture, I had lots of little whitehead bumps beside my nose, and after? They’re GONE! The excess oil on my cheeks is also gone! The wrinkled skin on my nose from dryness also visibly smoothed out! The pores on my skin seem to have made an effort of squeezing in, but as a result you see these little pin sized pores so I don’t know if that’s an improvement haha. Though you can’t really take it from my photos, because the lighting might be different, I am sure that my skin has lightened and even acquired a pinkish glow to it. Maybe it doesn’t seem that noticeable, but it is my skin and I can tell when it has improved!

Before (3 weeks ago)After (3 weeks after)

Some things I need to work on now is finding something that will lighten my scars and dark spots as well as tighten my pores some more. I’m on a search and probably won’t be too far from the B-Liv Skin website =) . So with smoother skin… that makes make-up application better, though I need to find a better foundation and concealer that isn’t heavy yet can help hide my scars and dark spots… hmm. Hope that wasn’t too scary lol. Though I might regret posting these very very personal pictures someday… eee =/ .

B-Liv Products

Just got my package from B-Liv. It’s a skin care line created by a company called Cellnique.  I’ve been wanting to try their products for a while now after reading about the “Off With Those Heads” miracle serum from different blogs. Super excited to try everything out! I bought the “no spots bye dots” blemish cleansing gel, “off with those heads ” blackhead sebum gel, “leach me” moisturizing mask, and received free samples of “Oil leviate” oil control gel,  and “shrink and tighten” pore reducing serum” PLUS a $5 off coupon on my next purchase =D . I mentioned in a previous post that I was inspired to take better care of my skin. This is my first big splurge. I hope to see a difference in my skin… because it’s just not happy with me right now =/ . I envy those people with such amazing clear skin… *sigh*.

Yummy Shaved Ice!

Oh! Have you guys tried Frappe Bliss at Aberdeen Center? My friend Linda introduced me to it… SO good haha. Go go try it!! But go when it’s warmer out. My friends and I went late at night this last weekend and we sat together in the food court by the windows… eating our shaved ice and shivering from the cold lol *sweat .

EDIT: Update on my B-Liv Skincare routine Here (Before and After Pictures)

Life Brand Face Masks

Life Brand Masks

I had a coupon for “Life Brand” products at Shoppers Drug Mart and I totally did not know what to pick up. Browsing around the store, there was a display filled with little packets “for everything from head to toe”. It was very cute *heart . Usually I read many, many reviews before purchasing any skin care products, but I thought I’d just give it a try. Plus I was very inspired by Bubzbeauty’s recent “Secret to Clear Skin” video and vowed to invest more time, money, and effort on my skin.

This is what I got:

exfoliating treatment (with cream and honey) - Reveal smooth, healthy skin with this gentle exfoliant. Tiny jojoba beads quickly unplug pores, while cream and honey refresh your complexion. This treatment will transform skin to look and feel its best.

purifying face mask (with jasmine and cactus flower extract) - Reveal clear, radiant skin with this purifying peel-off face mask. Indulgent extracts of Jasmine and Cactus Flower purify and stimulate the skin. Peel away dead skin and impurities to reveal a bright, cleansed complexion.

calming face mask (with aloe vera and mint) - Balance and de-stress skin with this cooling face mask. Feel the tingling sensation as Mint cleanses skin and unplug pores, while moisturizing Aloe Vera encases skin to heal and protect. Transform skin for a flawless calm complexion.

warming face mask (with grapefruit and vitamin e) - This self-heating mask opens and cleanses pores. Feel the benefit as the active ingredients of grapefruit and lime work in combination with rich clay to help open the pores, allowing impurities to be drawn out of the skin. High in vitamin C and vitamin E content, this mask cleanses eliminating excess oils and leaves skin feeling moisturized and deeply cleansed.

hydrating face mask (with sweet almond oil and vitamin a) - Quench skin’s thirst with this rich moisturizing face mask. Soak up the moisturizing benefits of sweet almond oil, enriched with vitamin A, as the mask conditions and hydrates.

reconstructive hair mask (with lime oil) - Hydrate hair with this blissful recovery mask. This intensive treatment will recondition and repair damaged, bleached, permed, or coloured hair. A heavenly pampering experience.

But there were MANY more! They were on sale for about $1.29 per packet. Each packet is good enough for at least two uses! So far I’ve only tried the purifying face mask.

How to use: Tie your hair back and cleanse your face thoroughly. Then wet your skin with warm water: this is important because you want to open up your pores so that your skin can take in more of the mask’s nutrients. So, it is good to use it right after you shower! Put a generous amount on your entire face to create a thick layer of the mask, while avoiding your eyes and mouth. Leave on for 15-20 mins then peel off =) .

What I liked: Very lightly scented! It made my skin feel very clean and soft after wards. It also was effective in tightening my skin! There was less redness as well! Overall, it was a really good experience for my first face mask!

I don’t know if it was just me, but after using the mask twice I did notice a difference in my skin. Though that might be due to other factors =p . But for $1.29 for two uses, plus a full money back guarantee… I highly recommend giving it a try! I can’t wait to try the other ones =D .

Scrunch!
