Hair | 2 CommentsThere’s not really much you can do to style a short bob cut. For the first month, I just used a round brush and a blow dryer every morning to round my hair to a perfect bob. But spending 10+ minutes on my hair in the morning, caused me to leave my house 10 minutes later, get stuck in rush hour traffic an extra 5 minutes, and therefore get to work later…
.
Youtube saved the day again(link)! I had already been using velcro rollers for my bangs. And had a whole pack on hand. Because I’m not a fan of using hair products, as the day goes on my bangs tend to droop down and end up swept to the sides. That’s why I have these rollers everywhere! I have one in my bag, my car, on my desk, in the bathroom, etc etc. And yeah, I actually wear one in my bangs on my drive to work
. Seriously, if I had a tint all around my car, I would wear all of them in my hair when I drive.
Washing Hair: I don’t like using many hair products because I try to minimize how frequently I wash my hair. Yeah, okay, that might seem disgusting to some but you have to train your scalp! Washing your hair too often dries it out and damages it. And your hair will shed everywhere. You need some of that natural oil
. That’s why I can’t use hair products too often, I would never want to sleep with products in my hair… eww. So I usually shampoo and condition my hair every 3 days. I’ve been using the same Joico Products for a while now and it has done wonders. My stylist always comments on how strong my hair is, even through all the colouring and processing. I definitely recommend it!
Okay I lied: I do use ONE hair product in my hair. I have no clue if this stuff actually does anything. I think… it does? But either way, I’ve been using it religiously after every time I’ve washed my hair. I rub a dollop in my palms and run it through my damp hair after a shower. Then I blow dry away
. One reason why I’m hooked? It smells crazy amazing… mmm!
The Everyday: So to keep the volume in my hair, every morning or before I go out, I roll in my velcro rollers. I got a pack of these from Shoppers Drug Mart. They come in various sizes but I’ve only been using the two biggest sizes. I start at the crown of my head and roll three big rollers down the back. Then I roll up two on each side of my head, and a final one, rolling upwards for my bangs. It takes about 2-3 minutes and I let them sit in while I get ready. That’s it!
