I found out there was a new dog park in my area and was super excited this morning! It’s hard to find a good off-leash area for Bailey. So we took him out this afternoon for some doggy playtime. The park was really nice. It had a small dog area for dogs under 30 pounds and a bigger area for all dogs. The place even had pic-nic tables and benches, as well as water bowls for the pups. But… even with all that luxury, Bailey was not impressed. Not sure if it was because it was a new location, if he was just totally disinterested in dogs that were there, or if he was just being shy… which is totally not like him. Bailey is an active dog. He loves saying Hi to everyone and including everyone when he plays. He likes to run circles, tease and chase.

So we gave him some time to warm up to it… but no luck… and back to his old park we went. There is another park we usually take him to any chance we get. Though it isn’t exactly a closed off off-leash area for dogs, they got vast green grass fields. Right when we got there, he became his energetic happy self again. So maybe it’s the grass haha. The dog park had wood chip trails and play areas… we guess he’s not into that. Picky dog haha

Notice something different about me? Glasses! (duh.. what else lol). Since I’m working at a computer full time now, I figured I’d give my eyes a break from wearing contact lenses. Lenses can dry out your eyes, as well as trap in dust dirt germs, or even scratch the surface of your eyes! I wore lenses all through university and do admit, I didn’t take the best care when wearing them. I was a busy girl… overnighters at school would require me to wear them through the night. Eeek. So to relieve my eyes, I’m going to switch back to glasses for a while. Can’t really say how long I will last with this though… glasses always make me feel so not put together, tired and lazy for some reason haha. Anyways, since I invested time this morning to get “ready”, I thought I deserved to go picture crazy!

Oh yeah! My friend came back home to Vancouver, only to tell us that she’s going back to Japan again!!! Wow, I wish I was in her shoes lol. For the last year, she has been there on co-op in Osaka. And though I really wanted to come visit, I was stuck in school and had no savings for a trip. So right when I found out she was heading back, instant planning for a Japan trip!!! O.M.Gee seriously, my ultimate dream vacation is coming true. I’m totally done school this time around and was able to book off some vacay time from work! So plane tickets purchased and now it’s time to plan plan plan. Uber uber excited. I will go there and probably spend every dollar I’ve earned (lol okay no I won’t, but maybe…).

I’d say my infatuation was almost instant. And I fell in love before I even got the chance to meet. I don’t know if you’d call it cheating but I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It was a tough decision, but in the end… it just had to happen. I was ready to move on.

We had lots of good memories. And I’m sure there are qualities that it had that no other camera can even compare. I got it right before my first concert, just in time to be my trusty date. And from then on, it took amazing video after video and many amazing concert photos that placed me right on the stage. But though it had its qualities, it wasn’t completely everything that I needed. I’m a portrait girl… and I found myself pulling out my cellphone camera most of the time. In the end, my Canon G9 is now with someone else, who will hopefully love it more than I had and for more reasons than one .

So now I’m ready to start documenting my life again. Say hello!

It has been a while. Reading the photo project book my sister got for me, I’m reminded of my love for photography. I’m not so photogenic anymore, and I still can’t edit and take pictures as well as others can… but I have always believed that I had an eye for a great photo. I have ideas, I know angles, I see the details… and I wish I could portray that in my own photos, but it’s not so easy when taking self-portraits (requires too much trial and error).  If only I could clone a version of myself lol. After watching countless eps of America’s Next Top Model, I realized something… maybe I’d be a good photo director. Now, who wants to be my photographer, and who wants to be my model?

Because it was requested . If I could only keep one make-up product, it would be my blush! Put blush on the cheeks of any drawn character and it will look uber cute. Blush makes you look cuter, healthier, happier… I can go on. It is one of the reasons my online aliases have always included “blush”. Another reason is, when I’m at my happiest, I blush . I remember when I got my first digital camera from my dad, it was so happy, I just gushed and turned totally red!

One of my everyday blushes is the Pur Minerals Marble Powder. It can be applied to the cheeks, eyelids, or lips for a nice glow.  For those in Canada, I purchased mine at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. It is great for a light pink glow that can be built up on for more colour.

Excuse the tired eyes. I quickly snapped these at the end of my day. I need sleep . OH! I’m also wearing the Korres Lip Butter in Pomegranate. It’s very pigmented stuff! Way more pink in real life. Tastes and smells awesome too. I totally recommend it! (Go for a lighter colour like the guava if you want to avoid really pigmented stuff though.)

summer still hasn’t completely set in for me. since I’ve been all work work work lately, I haven’t got the chance to do many summery things. really really wanna go to the beach, bbq, watch fireworks, sun tan, eat marble slab ice cream… etc etc. My 903sh camera phone finally decided to start dying on me. It’s not completely dead, it just freezes every time I try to turn it on . I’m too scared to reset it right now, and bringing it for repair might cost more than I’d want to pay. At this point I’m thinking… “maybe I should just get a new phone” . Cept thing is, I don’t think I want to settle for anything less than another Japanese Sharp camera phone. Looking into getting the SH-06a tee-hee. Just don’t know if I’m ready to dish out that much cash. It just came out in Japan . Maybe if I don’t buy anything for the rest of the summer I’ll be okay haha. We’ll see…

I guess this forces me to use my ACTUAL camera though. If you don’t know, most of my photos are taken by my phone. I do have a canon camera, but using the phone is just so much more convenient .
