Asher Brook | Someone to Watch Over Me
I’m back from Mexico! My sister’s wedding was simple and unrehearsed, but yet still very perfect and beautiful. Watching those wedding make-up tutorials totally came to the rescue! I came prepared with my make-up palettes, brushes, lashes, hair curler… only to end up rushing my own make-up/hair in 10 mins before the wedding ceremony. I pretty much put my dress on 2 minutes before running out the door.
My sister had a wedding make-up demo the day before the wedding. When she came back to show us her make-up, it was not good
. We all didn’t want to say anything mean, but the make-up was extremely heavy and very dark (even though the make-up artist said it was her “natural” look). So we tried to comfort her, saying “oh maybe it needs to be more dramatic for the photos… for it to show up right?” But $100+ for that make-up was no good. It wasn’t till that night that we all confessed to her that it didn’t look good (her brave fiance talked to her first).
So I volunteered! I ended up doing the make-up for my sister, her other bridesmaid and myself. I only brought one pair of falsies, so she got dibs of course! Boo, to my small eyes
. It was my first time doing make-up for anyone else and I was definitely nervous. But it wouldn’t have been a good time to mess up haha.
I’ll upload more pictures soon. I just wanted to show the make-up
. And no I can’t do wonders to people’s skin with make-up. This was my first time airbrushing a photo lol.. maybe a little over done, but look how flawless it looks!!!

. But, I guess it’s not my wedding… so no complaining
.
